The «window of opportunity» is a period during which a goal long pursued can actually be realised. When the window opens you have to be ready to seize your chance before it closes again. The phrase was constantly on Adolf Ogi’s lips from 1990 onwards, and he grasped every opportunity going, from environmental discussions about deforestation and Switzerland’s search for a position in the context of European unification, to the wind of change in transport policy.
« Let me start by saying that I do not in any way see myself as the father of the NRLA. »
